Elizabeth
Ms Liz has been in the grooming industry since 2014. She started her career bathing pups as a summer job during college to learn how to groom her ornery husky that had been kicked out of every facility she tried! It was then she found her passion and began her grooming journey.
DITR was fortunate to find Ms Liz shortly after her move to Oklahoma from Indiana in 2024 and she has proved to be a vital part of our Diamond Groom Team.
When we asked her what keeps her motivated she replied; my family, children, the love of dogs, learning new skills and her personal goal of striving to be a better human and mom. She has two children, Vinnie with a great sense of humor, smart and a sweetheart and Violet who is kind, adventurous, fearless and bold. Her pup Sundae is a Standard Poodle whom she has shown in UKC Championships.
Ms Liz has successfully completed; AKC Salon Safety, CPR and First Aid Safety courses through Pet Tech and additional dog behavioral classes. She also has some mixed breed competitions under her belt as well. She is dedicated to her continued learning and to have a positive impact on dogs that are labeled difficult. And, DITR is thrilled to be able to support her goals and watch her shine!
Liz loves both cats and dogs. Her feline favorite is Ragdolls because of their beautiful eyes and fur which she can not resist giving them extra love and she admires Dalmations for their breed history and athleticism.
Transitioning to mobile grooming can be challenging; however, Ms Liz has thrived! When asked why she thinks working for DITR is unique and a great place to work she said; “ I love that even though you're alone, you are not! “
When she has personal time, she loves; reading, true crime podcasts, and comfort binging The Vampire Diaries and Grey's Anatomy. Family time spent outdoors going to parks, hiking and the beach along with getting to know Oklahoma is her favorite pastime.
Her favorite quote is “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out way.” - Mark Twain And when it comes to music and entertainment, Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd and the musical Rent are at the top of her list.
